【Features】The Infineon SLE4442 / SLE5542 chip offers 256 x 8 bits of EEPROM main memory and a 32-bit protection memory with PROM functionality. This memory chip supports byte-by-byte erasure and writing in the main memory, providing flexibility in data handling. Each of the first 32 bytes can be irreversibly protected from changes by activating the corresponding protection bit in the protection memory for secure data protection. These protection bits are assigned directly to their respective data bytes in the main memory. Once written, the protection bit cannot be erased, ensuring permanent data protection (PROM).
